Star Lake Trail Project

Star Lake trail development

Rural Dividend Program – Burns Lake Mountain Biking Association partnership

Burns Lake, BC, May 8, 2017– The Star Lake Trail Development is a proposed 8 kilometer, multi-use trail in the Boer Mountain trail system.  The trail will link the Pigasus trail to the Razorback trail, and will reinvigorate the rough Star Lake wilderness trail. We foresee that many families will enjoy the easily accessible wilderness setting minutes from town.

“This trail, joining two existing world class all-mountain trails, will offer bikers an unprecedented 35+ km circle route linking the Burns Lake Bike Park with Star Lake and the top of Boer Mountain.” – Guy Epkens-Shaffer (BLMBA President)

The project will promote long-term community economic diversification and will promote economic development in the area. This project supports the attraction and retention of youth and professionals in our community.

BLMBA is projecting a Project total budget cost of $130,750

BLMBA Vision Statement – Burns Lake is a World Class mountain biking destination and a vibrant mountain biking community.

A Special Thank You to the BC Rural Dividend Fund for making this project possible.
